I have lived in Greater Fort Lauderdale, specifically Oakland Park for over 30 years. I have seen the city’s downtown undergo a transformation for the better. Now, right before my very eyes and before those of other Oakland Parkians the city continues to grow and distinguish itself as a local epicenter for Food, Fun and Festivities. During the month of February come to Jaco Pastorius Park to experience the Taste of Oakland Park, the Doggy Fun Fest and the Polynesian Cultural Festival.
