Desiree continues to professionally develop herself every opportunity she gets. Most recently, she completed the GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) designation, which distinguishes her as one of few Realtors® with this professional designation. She also earned the C2EX recognition of excellence by the National Association of Realtors and also has the following designations or certifications : Seller Representative Specialist (SRS), Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA), Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource (SFR), Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), e-Pro, and At Home With Diversity (AHWD).

In 2023 Desiree became one of the first Realtors, out of over 238,000 licensed agents in Florida, to become a Florida Realtors Board Certified Professional. A Board Certified Professional is recognized for their high competence and professionalism, ongoing work in sales, volunteerism, advocacy, and ethical treatment of the public, consumers and other Realtors.

Desiree Avila has a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and a Master’s Degree in Latin American Studies from Florida International University. Desiree completed her doctoral studies in Educational Technology at the University of Florida in the Fall of 2014. Desiree is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, French and Italian.
